Singer, songwriter, and dancer Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is an American. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, she is credited with influencing the revival of teen pop, for which she is known as the "Princess of Pop".

In 2021, her public testimony revealed she said she wanted to end her contract with management and her family.

On the Billboard 200, Britney Spears has scored six number-one albums.She also has four US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles: Baby One More Time, Womanizer, Three, and Hold It Against Me. Billboard also topped the chart for the remix version of "S&M" with a featured artist. Another three singles, "Oops!... I Did It Again", "Toxic", and "Scream & Shout", also reached the top of the charts in most countries. By debuted at number one with two or more songs, she became only the second artist after Mariah Carey in the history of the Hot 100. Michael Jackson's Video Vanguard Award was given to Spears for her choreographed videography, which she has developed into a focal point of her career. Grammy and Guinness World Records awards have been among her many accolades, as well as six MTV Video Music Awards and seven Billboard Music Awards, including the Millennium Award; the inaugural Radio Disney Icon Award; and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
